Reflections on the International Safeguarding Conference

Back

There were more than 30 Australian delegates that attended the 2025 International Safeguarding Conference, which had as its theme “Women of Faith, Women of Strength”.

Our CEO Dr Ursula Stephens was privileged to be part of the listening panel, that reflected on the key messages of the conference.

You can view the full video recording of Dr Stephens’ panel discussion or read her speaking notes and other reflections here.

Australian Organising Committee Member Mr Simon Davies has also published his own reflections on ISC2025, and Executive Secretary of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference Louise Zavone similarly reflected on her conference takeaways in this piece.

The full range of ISC presentation video recordings are available on the ICS website.

The theme for the 2026 Conference is “One Commitment, Many Contexts: Safeguarding Across Cultures”. We look forward to continued engagement with the ISC in the lead up to the 2026 event.
